I don't usually talk about my family, because the family only has 3 members, dad, mom and I. (Here, I wanna mention, I really hate the law in China which controlled the birth of babies..hmm..but our population..is..huge enough..)
Actually I wanna have a lot of brothers and sisters.. but it seems like it's never gonna happen..so I just told my mom..I'm gonna have a lot of children in the US~Ah-ha~not bad right?:)
Lonely life here in Iowa city, makes me rely on my family less..but in my heart I was trying to make myself feel the warmth in my family.. even I know it was impossible..
I always believe that "Everything's gonna be fine.."
Just expect the time of going back..and enjoy the time here~

A very sweet post, Violet! I hope your parents can read it. It's interesting, reading about your "tiny family" and Maitha's big one gave me the same feeling of warmth and closeness.

I was surprised to hear about this law from my chinese friends in fall semester.
it's hard when you don't have brothers or sisters to share with them your time and everything.
I believe your parents miss you too since you are their only child..
